Our Amazon River Yacht – The Tucano
Length: 80 Feet
Cabins: 9 (18 passengers)
Crew: 7 (plus two naturalists)
The Tucano was built in 1996 in the tradition of the 19th Century steamers that cruised these legendary waters.
Although classic in design, it offers 21st Century comforts such as air conditioning and private bathrooms.
Observation Deck: The top deck is open with a large canopy for shade. It is a perfect location to spot wildlife or enjoy the sun.
Middle Deck Balcony: The middle deck is a quiet spot, allowing us to relax and watch our progress as we wind our way along some of the most remarkable rivers on earth. It too is an excellent place to observe wildlife such as pink dolphins.
The Salon: The air-conditioned salon, with its elegant raised wood paneling and large windows, is as comfortable as it is beautiful. Here we enjoy dining and camaraderie.
Private Cabins: The Tucano has nine passenger cabins.
All of the cabins on the Tucano are outside cabins with large windows, making them very light and airy.
Each cabin is fully air-conditioned with its own thermostat. Each cabin has a private bathroom. Some cabins offer both a queen-size bed and a single bed to accommodate three persons, which is especially convenient for families.
