Side trips are available, allowing you to stroll the streets of Quito viewing beautiful Colonial Churches, shopping at colorful Andean markets or visiting Cotopaxi National Park, the second highest mountain in Ecuador and the highest active volcano in the world.
All of our guides are trained and certified by the Galapagos National Park Service and the Charles Darwin Research Station. They are friendly, personable, enthusiastic and eager to share their knowledge. Most have degrees in the sciences and many years of experience guiding in the Galapagos.
If you wish to extend your stay, tour the fascinating Inca ruins of Machu Picchu and Cuzco or travel deep into the Amazon rainforest to one of our beautiful jungle eco-lodges.
Adventure Level: Easy to Moderate. Visiting the islands will involve the use of small boats (pangas) and there are some landings on wet and slippery lava rocks.
