Our second tour level is the Enthusiast level - a well rounded tour that combines viewing the polar bears with the opportunity to learn about the history and culture of the Churchill area.
We visit the prime polar bear viewing area – Polar Bear Point – about 25 miles east of town. Additional activities include town and area orientation, Eskimo Museum, Parks Canada Interpretative Center, dog sledding, and a cultural program (4 night Churchill itineraries).
A helicopter tour is also included on several of our departures (although helicopter tours may also be arranged as an option on any of our tours – weather permitting of course!)
Finally this year, we offer a very special itinerary (Oct 13 – 18) which include a special helicopter tour to Nunalla. Our guests will fly 5 miles (8 kilometers) south of the 60th parallel to explore the vast Arctic, archeological sites, abandoned trading posts and unmarked graves.
